{"id":1952,"date":"2018-12-01T10:50:03","date_gmt":"2018-12-01T10:50:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.max-sperling.bplaced.net\/?p=1952"},"modified":"2024-02-15T19:42:30","modified_gmt":"2024-02-15T19:42:30","slug":"big-wall-solo-climbing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.max-sperling.bplaced.net\/?p=1952","title":{"rendered":"Big wall solo climbing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Equipement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><u>General:<\/u> two ropes (climbing and hauling), harness, shoes, helmet, carabiners, quick draws, cordelette, hauling bags, tape, chalk<\/li>\n<li><u>Devices:<\/u> self belay device (e.g. Modified GriGri, Soloist, Silent Partner), descend device, jumar device, hauling device<\/li>\n<li><u>Protection:<\/u>\n<ul>\n<li>Trad: cams, nuts, (nuttool,) slings, hexes<\/li>\n<li>Aid: pitons, beaks, copperheads, (hammer,) skyhooks (, aiders)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li><u>Non climbing:<\/u> food, drink, clothes, portaledge, sleeping bag, shit tube, toothbrush, toothpaste, stove<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<p><strong>Procedure:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe following steps you have to do again and again for every pitch til the summit.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Setup an anker at the bottom and clip in the hauling bags, climbing and hauling rope.<\/li>\n<li>Connect yourself with the climbing rope via the self belay device, attach the other end of the hauling rope to yourself and start climbing up.<\/li>\n<li>Setup an anker on the top, clip in the climbing rope and the hauling rope and descend with the descend device on the hauling rope.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the bottom anker, connect the hauling bags to the hauling rope and jumar up the climbing rope while cleaning the gear from the wall.<\/li>\n<li>Clip in to the top anker and haul the hauling bags with the hauling device.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr>\n<p><strong>Disclaimer:<\/strong><br \/>\nThis are just general informations about big wall solo climbing.
