GitHub Actions and GitHub Pages

Let’s assume you have a LaTeX project hosted on GitHub and want to provide the latest PDF generated from it.

GitHub Actions are roughly the equivalent of GitLab CI/CD. They allow you to define automated workflows that are triggered by specific events. For example, a push to the main branch can trigger a workflow that builds the PDF from the LaTeX source.

GitHub Pages is roughly the equivalent of GitLab Pages. It provides a way to publish a website directly from a GitHub repository. In this example, the generated PDF can be published there and made available through a permanent URL.
